SOCCR2 release update, media call, sessions, townhall, reception at AGU

The Second State of the Carbon Cycle Report (SOCCR2) release date is November 23, 2018, on the same day as the release of the Fourth National Climate Assessment (NCA4).

Press Conference call on the Fourth National Climate Assessment Vol. II and SOCCR2 featuring presentations followed by Q&A.

Reporters must RSVP to news.releases@noaa.gov to receive a link to the SOCCR2 and NCA4 report websites on Friday November 23 at 1:00 p.m ET. To participate in the NOAA media call on NCA4 and SOCCR2 on Friday, Nov. 23, 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time (U.S.), U.S. and Canadian media may call 888-469-1343 (toll-free). Other international media may call 1-203-827-7009 (toll). Please use the passcode “NCA4.”

The report and website contents are embargoed until 2:00 p.m. Friday November 23, 2018.

Final authorized PDFs of all SOCCR2 chapters, appendices and associated materials, including the 36 page long Report-In-Brief will be released via https://carbon2018.globalchange.gov on the aforementioned date and time. (The link will not be activated till then.)
