On Monday, November 11th, 2024 from 1:00PM-1:50PM (Baku, GMT + 4) NASA, Conservation International, UCAR, and Pew Charitable Trusts are hosting a side event in the Moana Blue Pavilion COP29 (Conference of the Parties) in Baku, Azerbaijan titled: "The Value of Blue Carbon: from NDCs to Cultural Co-Benefits."

Members of the U.S. Carbon Cycle Science Program and lead authors of the 3rd Decadal U.S. Carbon Cycle Science Plan, as well as members of the North American Carbon Program (NACP) attended and presented at the International Carbon Dioxide Conference (11) in Manaus, Amazonas, Brasil this week. During the week, there were many talks, posters, and opportunities to engage with national and international experts in carbon cycle science and management, and great opportunities for carbon dioxide and methane shop talk!

The U.S. Carbon Cycle Science Program is pleased to announce the appointment of six Lead Authors for the Third Decadal U.S. Carbon Cycle Science Plan. Author nominations were requested from members of the U.S. carbon cycle science community with Lead Authors selected by the Third Decadal Lead Author Selection Committee.

Job Announcement: CPAESS Program Specialist II position in support of the US Carbon Cycle Science Program and the NASA Ocean Biology and Biogeochemistry Program is now open for applications with a priority deadline of December 1, 2023.

Final selections have been made for Phase 3 of the joint US Carbon Cycle Science Program (US CCSP) and North American Carbon Program (NACP) Leadership Awards. In 2021, the US CCSP and the NACP established this Leadership Award to support opportunities for engagement, communication and collaboration for the North American carbon cycle community. This award activity is aimed at advancing our broader diversity, equity, inclusivity, accessibility and justice goals which are essential for fulfilling our national and global science priorities.
