August 10, 2015
Baltimore, MD

Addressing emerging interagency topics and opportunities such as the Second State of the Carbon Cycle Report (SOCCR-2), urban carbon, land-use change carbon, regional climate networks, and carbon monitoring/observing systems, the CCIWG convened a special session ‘Carbon Cycle Science at the Frontier of Global Change: A Coordinated Effort Among Federal Agencies’ at the August 2015 ESA Centennial meeting. Participants at the ESA meeting learned about the USGCRP annual research prioritization process as well as partnerships and opportunities to facilitate diverse carbon cycle science initiatives across a wide range of geographic scales.
